Your Hosts: Michael & Christina
We started Sarang Galloway Bed & Breakfast to offer families and groups holidaying in Kuala Lumpur a place to stay which is located in one of the oldest parts of the city. The houses in this area are built in the 1920s and would give the visitor a feel of a neighbourhood where most people know one another.
We love to travel and as frequent travelers we appreciate the experience of being shown around and the discovery of things not usually found in the guide books. We have always treasured the various encounters with the people we meet.
The memory of human interactions will always outlast the images of the places seen.
In a small way we would like to bring this experience to our guests. By doing so we can bring about a better understanding between cultures and build a better world for our children.
We have been married for almost 20 years now and are proud but sometimes confused parents of an only daughter (2010: 14years old). Shen is currently learning how to play the piano. She has a talent for singing and over the years she has taken part in quite a number of local musical productions. Like many other fourteen year olds Shen is very much into Facebook, Justin Bieber, Twilight, PSP and things similar.
Christina likes to cook, travel and watch the Amazing Race series and other reality shows. Her love for good food has led her to many interesting places around Malaysia and the world. She gives cooking classes occasionally and organizes food tours upon request.
Michaels passion is golf. He plays to a 13 handicap currently and recently scored a Hole-in-One. He likes to read and recent reads include Tash Aws - The Harmony Silk Factory, Orhan Pamuks Istanbul and The Golf Digest.
